Here at Church Hill Middle School, we pride ourselves in inspiring others to help our community strive to be the best it can. We believe that everyone deserves the right to be heard, no matter their background, race, religion, or gender. We have several student leadership roles where our pupils can make a difference to our community.
As the class of 2023-2024 prefects our mission statement is:
We as a community will show visitors that our school is far superior to others. We have high standards as we know we can achieve them.
Our main objective is to ensure that our school, staff, and learners are up to standard in every way possible. Inclusivity equals brilliancy.
As Sports Leaders our ambition is to create an environment where all children can enjoy sport, have fun, and achieve their goals, regardless of their ability and/or experience.
Here at Church Hill Middle School, we believe that sport is for everyone and therefore inclusivity is at the heart of all that we do. Whether you play sport regularly, or school is the only time you are active, we want to make it as fun as possible, through a variety of activities and games.
We will work across the school to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage positive mental well-being.
Lastly, throughout the year, we will organise and host a variety of sporting events for children here at Church Hill, and younger children from the local community. We will use these opportunities to instill our school values of happiness, respect, compassion, integrity, self-belief, community, and aspiration, through the power of sport.
As the Student Council, this year we are aiming to make small yet purposeful changes, in order to have a bigger impact on our school community. We aim to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for everyone to thrive and succeed.
We are looking forward to making an impactful and purposeful change to our school community!
As an eco-council we will:
- Take an active role in improving the school's environmental impact.
- Educate fellow students about environmental issues and their significance.
- Implement eco-friendly initiatives within the school, such as recycling programs, energy conservation campaigns, or garden projects.
'As reading ambassadors, we encourage all students to have a passion for reading, to choose challenging and appropriate texts and to understand the intellectual and emotional impact literacy has on our community.'
